This year's 'BBQ Row' will take place on Saturday 28th June at Halton Training Camp. This fits in with our normal Saturday rowing outings at Halton.

The decision to hold it on this date rather than the Sunday of Founder's Day weekend was due, in part, to the Tour de France stages in Yorkshire which several boys, staff and parents are planning to attend that weekend. Henley Royal Regatta also takes place that weekend.

Boys to arrive at normal rowing time for a Saturday morning at 09:30.

Entry to the Army Camp is to be through Gate 2 which is 50 metres beyond the Main Entrance.

We will probably have to arrange for Gate 2 to be manned to allow entry.
Parents can arrive at any time from 09:30 onwards but we cannot guarantee that the Gate will be open after 10am when racing starts. If it is not open, please phone PJago (07549651 370) and I will arrange for a boy to come and let you in.

Note that Halton Road is closed to public traffic at two places: 1) just before the aqueduct with a diversion in place, and 2) just before the Army camp. Ignore closure signs before the Army camp and proceed to Gate 2 which is being used for Constain Works traffic.

Racing Format:

The following events will take a round robin format where all crews will race against each other. 2 points for a win, 1 point if you finish within a length of the winning crew. The winner is the crew with the most points at the end.

10:00-11:15           J14 single sculls competition
10:00-11:15           Jago Challenge Cup - Mixed J16/J15/J14 Quad sculls event
11:30                     J16 single sculls competition

12:30 Lunch Break

The following event will start with a time trial. If time permits, successive rounds will be raced in pairs to get the overall ranking.

13:00                     Double Sculls Tankards

13:30-14:00           Prize Giving

LRGSBC T-shirts will be on sale (Small, Medium, Large) as well as a few Polo Shirts (L,XL).
I also have a few LRGSBC Race vests still in stock (£20).

Please can boys return all cups and trophies presented last year, polished please!
